Two pictures of my folks, about 50 years apart.

And 10 years later....

My sister and her new husband Chester on their wedding day.

Gary and me, at my sister's wedding.

My sister's two kids -- my only nephew and niece. They're both
married now.

A glamour shot of my sister.

My Mom

My Mom's brothers and sisters: Uncle Bob, Aunt Nunna, Uncle Bub-O, Aunt Lou, Aunt Rachel in front, and Momma.
My Dad's family (lower on this page) also had two boys and four girls.

My Mom's wedding day, with her sisters.
Aunt Lou is on the left, Aunt Nunna on the right.
You can tell their personalities by the picture --
Momma was the sweet pretty one,
Aunt Lou the prim and proper one,
and Aunt Nunna the funny one!

This is my cousin Jerry (Aunt Lou's son), when he was living as Madelyn in New
Orleans.

The Family -- Christmas 2015:

My daddy is the cute one in the middle, with Aunt Maurine and
Aunt Blanche behind him.
Uncle Rayford and Aunt Bradie Mae are beside him, and
Aunt Faye is in front.
None of them are still living. Daddy was the last to go, on Dec. 12, 2013.
Daddy at
about 8 years old.
My grandparents, in front below: Obie John Peirson Alexander Berry, and
Nora Wesson Berry. I never met him, he died very shortly after this
picture. My grandma lived till 1960.
In the back are Aunt Blanche, Daddy, Aunt Bradie Mae, Aunt Faye, Uncle Rayford,
and Aunt Maurine.

This is my mom's cousin, Jack.
He left rural Mississippi
in the 1930's to go to
New York
to be an actor and dancer.
He killed himself a few years later.
The family could never figure out why;
but I bet I know --
it wasn't easy being a gay boy
way back then.
